Dr. Tathagata Saha is a Postdoctoral Fellow at IUCAA and is a member of the German eROSITA Collaboration. He obtained his Ph.D. ("Dyplom Doktorski") in "Natural Sciences" in the discipline of "Astronomy" from the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland. His research focuses on accretion processes onto compact objects, ranging from stellar-mass white dwarfs, neutron stars, and black holes in binary systems to active galactic nuclei (AGN) and tidal disruption events (TDEs) powered by supermassive black holes.
