String theory is very rich in symmetries. The Target-space duality (T-duality) plays an important role in our understanding of string dynamics. The speaker shall first introduce T-duality in the historical context and then provide some examples of T-duality in string theory. He shall also pedagogically introduce this symmetry in the context of massive excited states of string theory.
