In the first talk, the speaker will discuss the statistical properties of the frequently used estimator of the power-spectral density functions (namely, the periodogram). He will also discuss two different methods to produce simulated light curves which have a specific power-spectrum.This talk will be rather technical, and will not address any specific science topics. |
