ADAPTIVE OPTICS SYSTEMS AT USO AND VLTI

Modern large optical telescopes employ active and adaptive optics systems to compensate for the deleterious effects of the atmosphere in real time. A typical adaptive optics system contains three major components, namely a wave-front sensor, wave-front corrector and a control computer. In this talk, first he will present the details of the tip/tilt adaptive optics system developed at the Udaipur Solar Observatory. Then he will present the details of the Multi Application Curvature Adaptive Optics System (MACAOs) that are employed at the Coude focus of the Very Large Telescope Interferometer (VLTI).
