THE FINE TUNING OF THE COSMOLOGICAL CONSTANT IN A CONFORMAL MODEL
 
 

The speaker shall explain how the fine tuning problem of the cosmological constant manifests itself in a model with quantum conformal symmetry. He proposes a solution to this problem. The solution makes non-trivial use of strong interaction dynamics and predicts a strongly coupled dark sector. The matter vacuum energy density is found to be zero in this model. Furthermore the model predicts that the non-relativistic matter must necessarily be accompanied by other contributions. However, these additional contributions can be suppressed by a suitable choice of parameters. The model provides a useful framework both for particle physics and cosmology.
