Gamma Ray burst during multi-messenger era

Gamma ray bursts are one of the most energetic astrophysical objects with an isotropic energy of 10^(53-55) ergs. They have long been speculated as possible acceleration sites for high energy gamma rays and neutrinos. We have calculated the neutrino flux from GRBs during their prompt as well afterglow phases. The speaker will discuss the high energy neutrinos as a follow up of gravitational waves associated with short GRBs and hence could be an useful probe in understanding these objects. She will discuss her results on observational evidence for presence of chocked short GRBs, from their duration distribution behaviour and the future prospect associated with it.
