This lecture is an introduction to quantum fluids and quantum vortices. The aim is to describe the observed similarities and differences between turbulence in ordinary viscous fluids (classical turbulence) and turbulence in quantum fluids (quantum turbulence). In particular, I shall focus the attention on the presence (or the absence) of an energy cascade and the physical mechanism of vortex reconnections
