220 - 211 anomalous absorption transition of cyclopropenylidene (c-C3H2)

arge number of molecules produced in terrestrial laboratories, generate their spectra in either emission or absorption. LASERs and MASERs on Earth are artificial devices and big efforts are required for their fabrication. Though in the beginning, scientist were against the opinion of the existence of molecules in cosmic objects, because of the presence of gamma-rays, x-rays and UV-radiations, but as of today, more than 250 molecules have been found in the cosmic laboratories. Interesting to note that, besides the emission and absorption features, the cosmic molecules have shown two anomalous phenomena: (i) natural MASERs and (ii) anomalous absorption (the absorption against the CMB). The transition 220 - 211 of cyclopropenylidene (c-C3H2) has been found to show anomalous absorption in most of the molecular regions. Our investigation is to understand the anomalous absorption of 220 - 211 transition of cyclopropenylidene. We have performed the Sobolev analysis and have found that this transition shows anomalous absorption at all kinetic temperatures.
