Prof. Ravi K. Sheth

I will discuss the baryon acoustic oscillation method which defines a standard rod with which to measure cosmological distances. I will then highlight recent progress in standardizing its length for use in the next generation of sky surveys which potentially enable sub-percent precision measurements.
