Prof. Sonjoy Majumder

In the colloquium, I will introduce the spin-texture of Skyrmion and spin-1 BEC under spin-orbit coupling. I will demonstrate a protocol to control the Skyrmion structure using an external magnetic field, which also induces phase singularities, such as vortex-antivortex, in the condensate. I will reveal the potential to engineer diverse topological excitations controlled by the interplay between the spin-orbit coupling and the in-plane magnetic field.
