| The Solar System's Great Divide |
|
Why does the Solar System have small, rocky planets close to the Sun, and four gaseous ones far away? Why do meteorites originating from beyond Jupiter have a different composition of isotopes of specific elements than those from the inner Solar System? What happened to the early Solar System that shaped it to be what it is today? I will answer these questions and discuss future research on the origin and evolution of our Solar System. |
