Scientific & Technical Officer | IUCAA
Physicist | HTC & HPC Specialist
Affiliation: IUCAA, Pune
Primary Interests:
Deepak Bankar works at the intersection of Theoretical Physics and Computational Implementation. Currently at IUCAA, he manages critical High Throughput Computing(HTC) infrastructure that powers modern astronomical research specifically Gravitational Wave research.
I am a physicist and computational specialist currently based at the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA). My expertise lies at the intersection of theoretical physics and computational implementation, specializing in the design, deployment, and management of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and High Throughput Computing (HTC) systems and data centers.
With a rich academic background from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), I have transitioned from fundamental research and teaching in the Department of Physics to guiding M.Tech students in Modeling and Simulation. I am passionate about democratizing technical knowledge, having mentored numerous students and conducted Linux workshops to empower the next generation of researchers with essential computational tools.
Specializing in the deployment and optimization of large-scale computational environments for scientific research.
