1944 - 2025
Professor Naresh Dadhich (born September 1, 1944, in Sarsali, Rajasthan – passed away on November 6, 2025, in China, where he was on an academic visit) was a distinguished theoretical physicist whose pioneering contributions to general relativity, gravitation, and cosmology profoundly advanced the field. A former Director of IUCAA (2003–2009) and Emeritus Professor, he dedicated his life to research, education, and the communication of science. He will be fondly remembered for his intellect, humility, and deep commitment to both science and society — our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
