This meeting aims at bringing together active scientists from all over the globe to take stock of the state of the art in Gravitation & Cosmology, chart out promising future directions and exchange ideas, as well as offer younger researchers from Indian academia an opportunity for interaction with experts from within India and abroad. To this end, the programme will have a series of plenary lectures by senior scientists/experts, with parallel workshops and poster sessions that will, among other things, serve to provide a platform for upcoming researchers and graduate students. The plenary sessions will be of two varieties, longer ones are for general interest and shorter ones are more specialized, yet expected to be accessible to wider audience. The itinerary will also not be without a smattering of formal and informal discussion sessions.

Although the scope of the meeting encompasses all theoretical and observational aspects of Gravitation & Cosmology, the workshop sessions will focus on four main themes:

This is the second time that IUCAA will be the venue for an ICGC. Nestled in the picturesque campus of the University of Pune, this autonomous institute, whose stature is reflected in the long line of prominent international events it has played host to, including the GR-15 conference, is home to a dynamic research community with diverse interests ranging over nearly the entire breadth of Astronomy & Astrophysics.
